Steve Simpson formed Cimarron Software as a high-end
database product development company in 1984 in New York City.
Since then, he has developed database projects for some of the
largest companies in the world. Cimarron Software specializes
in “Office Automation” systems and has several successful
vertical market applications in use around the world. Cimarron
Software was in the forefront of “Web Enabled Database”
development and operates an advanced internet hosting center
and provides extensive Web Services out of Tampa, Florida. The
main company office is located in Tampa with a second office
in New York City. Steve Simpson holds a master's degree from
Wake Forest University and taught database design and
implementation at Columbia University to Corporate MIS
professionals. As part of Steve’s commitment to the success
of Purple
P&L, Cimarron
has assigned its Restaurant Software Solutions to Purple P&L. These
applications consist of three major software
solutions:
BackOfficePlus is the core of
the Restaurant Solutions Suite. Cimarron Restaurant Solution’s
BackOfficePlus interfaces with most POS register systems, is a
full featured back office management tool installed in the
restaurant office, and used by the managers to report on and
aid in controlling all major areas of food service operations.
It transmits accounting data and operations data in the
background to StarNet Accounting and StarNet
Operations.
Starnet Accounting receives raw
accounting field data from BackOfficePlus and formats that
data for direct import into any modern accounting program such
as Microsoft’s Great Plains Dynamics. The
StarNet Accounting
program receives sales information, labor hours and employee
information, and accounts payable information on a daily
basis.
Starnet Operations is a management
“data warehouse” solution that receives non-accounting
BackOfficePlus data to give regional managers information for
store-to-store comparison analysis. Sales, inventory, and
labor data is transmitted from BackOfficePlus via the internet
to Starnet Operations for user definable and customizable
management reporting.
Turnkey Accounting Solution is an
integrated accounting solution worked out over the years by
Purple P& L and Cimarron Software. It consists of software
connecting each restaurant back office to management and to
Purple P&L. This complete turnkey accounting solution
includes a state of the art Accounting Application with full
accounting staff at a central accounting site, a full featured
Back Office Application in each unit, the StarNet Regional
Operations database in regional management offices, and the
Starnet Accounting program at central accounting, all
connected and integrated via the internet along with
comprehensive installation, support, and training
